Must Love Pekes is a blog for those who love Pekingese, their looks, their antics, their personalities. It is written by me, Linda, and I have been rescuing Pekingese for 14 years. Lots of them have gone through our home. We have loved them all.

WE ARE IN RESCUE
I wanted to do a blog with all our foster dogs. I will try to update it regularly so that you can share the link.
Norton is one of our foster dogs. He is like a big soft bear. He is so sweet and loving. He cannot see, but he gets around fine, and loves to be near his foster mom. He came into rescue several years ago with a broken leg, but he healed well and was adopted. He came back into rescue when his adoptive mom had health issues and could no longer care for him. He is a senior, but is not ready to go anywhere yet. If you are interested in a fluff ball, just let us know!
Gizmo came into rescue and had many allergy and skin issues. His foster parents have been incredible and I think this is going to be a foster failure-- right? :-) His best friend, Doolin, would have something to say about it! Click

Bradley and Bentley came into rescue from a "breeder." There are great breeders out there who really care for their dogs-- these two didn't come from one of those. Their condition was deplorable.
Dylan came from a breeder who dumped him when he was done using him. Dylan lived in a chicken coup and didn't know the love of a family. He takes awhile to trust, but as you can see, he is a beautiful boy. Click here:

Monkey came into rescue in 2015. His owner died and he had been dumped in a shelter. He likes men a lot, and would love a home with a man. He takes a little time to adjust (like most of them), but he's worth it. He is about five years old. Click here:

I'll be doing a blog on our forever fosters, too. We took them in and found they just needed a quiet place to live out what remained of their lives. So, we take care of them and love them. We have someone who has volunteered to help with fund raisers as we cannot take in more dogs without more money. Rescue is expensive, so many have extensive needs. We have had calls/emails to take in more and are in a quandry. Thank you to all who are helping us during this time while Jeanne is going through treatment for cancer-- we hope she is up and running soon. We want her to take it easy now, rest and do all she can to get better.
