PUPPY PILE UPS

I asked you for pictures of puppy pile ups and you didn't disappoint!
I've always had multiple dogs since I became an adult.
Some dogs want to be only pets, but I think most love a friend.  Or two,  or more... Paddington and Piper are VERY attached to each other.
Retha loves Japanese Chins and has had quite a few loving ones.   No problem finding a friend there!
Elwood loves having friends.
My granddogs wouldn't know what to do without each other.  Granger, Gigi and Tuk Tuk.
Nancy's crew== and toss in a cat, too.

Oliver and Cosmo-- a good pillow!
Betsy's crew is guarding the street in comfort.
Judy's boys-- gone now, but Sushi has joined the family to entertain them.
Buffy and Ollie RIP were so special and loved each other so much.
Edward's pups love having a buddy.
Kendal's babies-- a few PVPC alumni there. :-)
Heather has a pile up at her house.   Heather is my groomer (when I have some extra $$) and is amazing!
Brucee Wu has pillow company!
Veronica has a crew-- no, you can't do errands with mom.   But, they'd like to!
Barbra has a few PVPC alumni also!
And back to my house-- there's always multiples.  Just pick a spot.
Travis will move to another foster home this week, but he's already realized that there are friends here.  He will have more friends in his foster home.   He's so sweet!!

MEMORIAL DAY WITH TRAVIS

Travis has his patriotic harness on.
He doesn’t know what day it is but we do.  I am grateful all those families who spend today in remembering a loved one.  πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ we are thinking of you.
My heartfelt gratitude to those who gave their lives for our country.   Thank you.
We honor those who have given all.

WELCOME TO RESCUE TRAVIS

Travis was in a shelter near me.  His owner brought him in and he still had life to live.  He went to the ophthalmologist right away-- they are SO GOOD to fit me in.  He needed eye drops for dry eye and an infection.   Then, our next stop was the vet.   He stayed there overnight for exam, bloodwork, etc and then I picked him up.  He was all clean and fluffy and ready to visit with us.
Paddington became his bad self.  Oh, brother.
Travis is over 16, deaf and can see light and dark, but he was SO HAPPY.
He and Piper were dancing.
Then, he explored.
Piper was close by.  Travis just kept wagging his tail.
He may be older, but he's happy and joyful.    Welcome to rescue, sweet boy!!

SISSY AND THE FLAGS

Our neighborhood puts out flags each holiday.  Sissy helped.
We have a certain area in our neighborhood that we are responsible for.
Every house has a flag.
Sissy isn’t used to going for rides in the stroller.
Mom….mom?!
“I’d  rather you carried me.”   Pushing an empty stroller and carrying a dog while putting out flags.  Not our original plan.  πŸ€£
She is a homebody and going places isn’t really her thing.
Back home, she was back to being the mama dog.  A piece of salad fell on the floor.  She didn’t want it but no one else was going to get it. 🀣.  Strong, confident Sissy is back in charge.

PENELOPE BABY

Penelope is in her foster home.  One of her caregivers at the vet took this picture.  She looks like she is looking right at her.   She can’t see though but her other senses work fine. Everyone at the vet loved her. .
She’s so small she can fit right under your arm.  All 7.8 pounds of her.

She has beautiful coloring.  We had to shave her down but her hair will grow back.
Her eyes are feeling better with the trio of eye drops she is getting now.  One is just for a few weeks.  Then, like many Pekes, she will continue to get drops for dry eye.
She was looking around at sounds as Lisa held her.
Her hearing is fine.
Her foster mom has many little shirts that fit her and look so cute.
She will have a dental soon and she will feel more and more secure.
I’m so glad she came into rescue. πŸ’•

SUNNY MEETS MO MO

Sunny was one of our foster dogs several years ago.   Bonnie fostered him and I finally met her this week!!
Sunny loves all dogs.   He had eyes when we got him, but he was blind.   He had lived outside in a pen with big dogs, and his life is very different now.
He was such a sweet boy and his foster mom adopted him.
They live on a farm with sheep and cows, and dogs.....
Meeting Sunny just brought joy to me!  I was probably grinning ear to ear.   His mom offered to foster Mo Mo.   Mo Mo is a special one and he needed a special foster home.
I thought it would be a four hour round trip to meet Bonnie, but due to a massive truck fire, it took me six hours.  That wasn't fun-- but no one was injured in the fire, so that's a good thing.

Mo Mo is now in his foster home, healing and decompressing.  He even rolled around and let his foster mom rub his tummy.    WOW!   He must feel so safe there.   Bonnie has a magic touch and I look forward to more updates.   I'm so excited for Mo Mo to be there.   πŸ˜ƒ
