MISTLETOE AND FRIENDS

Missy Mistletoe wondered who came.  Since I’m an introvert — a “very introvert” - I rarely have people come to my home.   But a friend came over  and we had a good visit. 

Cinnamon—SUPER INTROVERT - ran for cover.  She is terrified of people.   And she was not about to let  a stranger see her.   (We kept her because of her severe trauma.)

Mistletoe and Dickens did decide to greet her. 

And tails started wagging.  One got closer. 

Then two.  

Three…

And four…

Dickens said, “You can hold me.”  Wow. 

He still kept his focus on me but he did great. 
 They all- except Cinnamon did well..  🥰. Good pups!

DENVER-WHO’S THAT?

 

Jellybean and Snickerdoodle are staying w Denver’s family.  

The girls are fitting right in.  Playing, running, cuddling. 

We thought Denver would be thrilled.  His best friend, Rosie, passed awsy and he misses  her.  

But he’s not sure about the girls.  (He’s our calendar boy this month.)  They all get along but Denver is still checking them out.   He usually just walks away.   The girls are outgoing and maybe he will join in soon.  

For now, he is just watching.  The girls are happy and sweet. They love to follow their foster mom or dad.  

If they aren’t adopted soon, I bet Denver will become their best friend. 😍

We adopt in Maryland and Virginia (and areas close by) and require vet and home checks.

KRINGLE DNA

Kringle came in the second group of the Christmas rescue on January 3. 

He has come so far.  He’s gained over 4 pounds and he loves his mom.  

He was 13 1/2 pounds. Like Dickens, he had a body score of 1/9.  He and Dickens were the oldest in the whole group. He had no fat or muscle.  But he does now. 😍

He has come to trust his mom.  At first, he was afraid of everything.  He flinched or ran to hide. 

His mom did a DNA test and what a surprise it was.  It said 100% Pekingese! 

He was not impressed by the results. 

He has trained his mom to make sure he has ice cubes in his water bowl.  I’m not sharing that information w the ones here. 😂

Kringle is so loved and cared for.  Being rescued saved his life. And it’s a good one. He loves ear scratches and tummy rubs. 

His mom shared this.  Rescue dogs hearts are huge.  ❤️
