THE BRISTOL 18- 15 YEARS LATER

It's hard to believe that the Bristol 18 rescue was 15 years ago!   Penny was one of those rescued who is still alive.
Colby was the other one.  He was a tiny puppy who was rescued with his mom and brother.
The mom was in horrendous condition and her puppies needed help badly.
Colby was an adorable puppy.  He was adopted by a previous adopter and he thrived.  He is 15 now!
Penny and her sister Ju-Li were three years old and were the last 2 that we took in.
They were in better shape than the rest, but they still needed help.
After time in their foster home, they were thriving.
Penny and Colby are the last ones from that rescue.   At the time, it was the largest rescue we had ever done.   The Christmas rescue of 19 dogs is now the largest.   It's a LOT to take in at once.  Medical care was critical when they arrived, just like the Christmas dogs.
Colby and Penny are so loved-- and their moms have become friends of mine.  I love the updates I've received over the years that we had on all of them.
Colby and Penny are older and still beautiful.  What an honor it was to be part of that rescue.
