SNICKERDOODLE AND JELLYBEAN

The last two that came in w the Christmas rescue were jellybean and Snickerdoodle.
They are both much better now.  Snickers tongue is bigger than she is I think. πŸ˜‰ They have on their Christmas sweaters.
They were underweight at 10.5 lbs and 8.8 pounds.  They’re not big Pekes but they should both have gained a little weight.
They were fostered together and became best friends.  They are in long term fostering now.
They’re “before” here……
And
Here.  This was shortly after they came to rescue.  Uou can see how little they were.
Now they have soft beds, and friends like Denver.
And they have people who cherish them.  They have each other.  This Christmas will be their first. πŸŽ„πŸŽ„  What a gift.

JINGLE πŸŽ„AND HUNTER

Jingle was one of the Christmas rescue dogs who came last December 23. Hunter was already at my house as a foster.
I’m not sure if Jingle is one of these but he was somewhere in the house.
Jingle and Hunter became great friends. They played and tolled around and loved being w each other.
Hunter was a puppy and Jingle was young.
Hunter was the happiest dog w so many other dogs to play with. I hoped I could find a home for him and Jingle together.
And it happened!  Jingle and Hunter were adopted and will be forever brothers.
They are going to have a very Merry Christmas this year! πŸŽ„πŸŽ„

TUK TUK, GRANDDOGS AND SNOW

Snow in Virginia-- near the coast?  Usually doesn't happen before January.  But, Tuk Tuk is having some flurries.   It's beginning! :-)
Toasty is in New York and has no snow. He’s bummed about it.
A little more is falling.  Will it stay?
Granger decided to check it out.
Granger and Tuk Tuk have thick coats so they won't get cold.
My other grand dogs, Dave and Lily aren't quite sure about it.
Lily was brave and went out to catch it.
Dave, though.... He began to go out and then started backing up.
What was that white coming from the sky?!
He's hiding from that dangerous stuff.  According to his mom Dave believes the weather is out to get him.
The rest think the snow is awesome.
They're loving it.  Is anyone else getting snow? ❄️❄️☃️

BETHANY OF THE CHRISTMAS RESCUE

Bethany was in the first group of the Christmas rescue on December 23 of last year.
She was thin and undernourished, and she was very timid.   Do you see hope in her eyes?
She went to her foster home, and they worked with her and showed her that people were safe.
She had two new friends, Sunny in front, Hannah and Bethany in the back.  All PVPC dogs.
Hannah came into rescue as a puppy 6 years ago.  She gathered toys all around her for her photo shoot.  Bethny was photo bombing.  :-)
Sunny had his Christmas picture taken, too.
Bethany's life is so different than a year ago.  This year she has a home, a family and all the love a Peke could have.   It's been a wonderful year for her!

ZEKE THE CHRISTMAS PEKE

Zeke’s mom sent me a few Christmas pictures.
I was just turning the page for this year’s calendar and there he was!  He is very stylish!
Zeke has so many sweaters, and toys, and harnesses. A well dressed Peke who always has a toy.  He says Merry Christmas! πŸŽ„

SCOUT ANNABELLE

Iggy (on right) came into rescue in October. I fostered her. Dickens thought she was very sweet.
She had been w a baby at her previous home and it was something to see. She was so good.
I knew the perfect home for her. She was adopted. Her new name is Scout Annabelle.
She felt at home right away.
She is so loved.
She LOVES toys and will play fetch.
Scout now has another baby to adore.  She has a grand baby to protect and she does.  She has a natural instinct w babies. She’s in the perfect home. πŸ₯°

ABNER—FORMER FOSTER DOG

In early 2013, a rural shelter asked for help. Abner (brown one) was brought to the shelter because he had eye issues.
Abner had been at the shelter for weeks- he wasn’t receiving eye care.  The staff were doing the best they could.  My friend Susan and I drove there. (It was so rural I wasn’t sure we would find it.). He had  Macropalpebral Fissure Syndrome, and that means his eye opening was so large that he couldn’t fully close his eyes.  He also had an ulcer on one of his eyes. Our first stop was the vet and his care began. He had eye surgery.  We had someone who fell in love w him.  They adopted him and continued his eye care.
Patch, Abner and Creech are a family.  His parents have continued to stay in touch and I love that.  We’ve become friends because of one little puppy.
Abner lives in cold New York.  They offered to send some of their snow to me. πŸ˜‚
When Abner was adopted, he became a therapy dog.  I’m so proud of him.  He goes to hospitals and visits critical wards and really brightens their days.
He also goes to airports to visit w people waiting for their flights.  I’m sure he helps reduce their stress.
Here he is in his doctor outfit. Adorable!  Thank you Abner and your mom for all the joy you give. ❤️
