To God From the Dog--Shadow

Look at this sweet boy! Shadow was one of my foster dogs and was adopted over four years ago. I thought I'd use his pictures for this blog on "To God From the Dog."

TO: GOD
FROM: THE DOG

(This is Shadow with his sister, Nico. Nico can have a "keep you mom busy" side!)
Dear God: Are there mailmen in Heaven? If there are, will I have to apologize?
Dear God: Why are there cars named after the jaguar, the cougar, the mustang, the colt, the stingray, and the rabbit, but not ONE named for a Dog? How often do you see a cougar riding around? We do love a nice ride! Would it be so hard to rename the 'Chrysler Eagle' the 'Chrysler Beagle'?
Dear God: If a Dog barks his head off in the forest and no human hears him, is he still a bad Dog?
(Here is Shadow with his "sister', Lara. She loves taking his pictures! I love seeing the pictures!!)
Dear God: More meatballs, less spaghetti, please. (I can really hear Shadow saying this, too!!)
Dear God: Is it on purpose our names are the same, only reversed?
Dear God: Why do humans smell the flowers, but seldom, if ever, smell one another?
Dear God: When we get to heaven, can we sit on your couch? Or is it still the same old story? (Funny, at my house, the dogs ARE on the couch and sometimes, I am on the floor!! Nothing like face kisses from the dog behind you!)

Dear God: We Dogs can understand human verbal instructions, hand signals, whistles, horns, clickers, beepers, scent ID's, electromagnetic energy fields, and Frisbee flight paths. What do humans understand?

I think sometimes, Dogs DO understand more than we do!! We can watch them and learn. :-)

  1. How cute! Shadow definitely had the perfect expressions for the "Dear God" captions:)
I wish we really could tell what they're thinking...
My poms love the Life's Abundance dog food I switched them to after reading about Nutro's problems with their food. One can was damaged and several dented on my first shipment and they sent me an entire case of 24 free! I'm impressed!
