Jane's Poem

JANE'S POEM
Jane is a Peke friend of mine who lives in NC. She wrote a poem about her two dogs-- but since I don't have pictures of them, I'll use the pictures I have. :-)
It's raining, it's pouring.
I wish I were snoring! (Maggie is above, she was adopted two years ago.)
The dogs are jumping on my head,
they're hopping on and off the bed. (This is Douggy, new to rescue.)
What a lovely morning to stay in and sleep.
My dogs... they do not give a "bleep." (This is my Cranberry.)
Rupert slings a soggy toy in my face,
Why don't I have a private place? (This is my Scooterbug.)
He presses his flat face against my nose.
His morning breath... not a rose. (This is Chester, just adopted.)
Nickie yaps and jumps and whirls,
All I can think is "what a girl."
The bedcovers are really quite a mess.
One thing is sure... I am blessed. (This is Douggy again-- he's a sweet boy!)
THANK YOU, JANE, FOR SHARING YOUR POEM WITH US!

  1. Scooter is one of the cutest dogs I have ever seen. What a sweet soul he is.

  2. Cute poem and great timing because I was awakened by a pom urgently bouncing around and whining in the bed at 3:30AM to go potty ~ he was persistent! It's easy for them to fall right back asleep, but I have to get my zzz's in before 6 AM when the alarm goes off. Thank goodness for the snooze button, but I did end up late for work:)
