LUCY, KENTUCKY PEKE

I just received this from a Ketucky rescue person. Lucy is a little female from a shelter and she has missing vertebra and has very little bowel and bladder control. Lucy is a special needs Pekingese in dire need. This sweet, loving 3-year old girl was bred by unscrupulous people who cared only about the money they could make, and nothing for the dogs. Lucy and her siblings were dumped in a shelter, where the Appalachian SPCA found them. In short order, all of her siblings found homes… But Lucy remained. She was born with a congenital defect that affects her pottying. She has to be watched very carefully, fed a special diet, and her little bottom has to be kept clean. Other than this medical issue, she has a wonderful life. Lots of love to give…she just needs a special person who will take care of her forever. If you can help, email haveninhim@aol.com

  1. Poor Lucy! She can run and play, right? Just the muscles controlling her elimination aren't working because of the missing vertebra, right? She is absolutely beautiful and I hope and pray that one very special person who won't mind Lucy's special needs will adopt her soon.

  2. She is a beautiful little girl. It makes my heart sick to hear of how she was treated. I hope that she finds her home soon, someone very special will take her:)

  3. Ms Lucy will need someone who really understands her needs . Why people would still breed from her and let those genes keep going is beyond me but..... this sweet one deserves a special home.

    Sending special Vibes for Lucy!!!
