SIMBA (ROSCOE)--THERAPY DOG

This is Simba (he was Roscoe then) when he came into rescue. He was a mess, but so sweet. His transporter asked to foster him and she adopted him!

Simba went with his mom to Florida to visit her dad, who is in Hospice care. Aimee, we are so sorry about that. I'm glad you had the special time with your dad.

Simba behaved so well, his mom decided he could be a therapy dog while he was there. So, he gave lots of love to her and her dad.

It was pretty hot in Florida (it's hot everywhere!), so Simba had a lion cut done-- that's where most of the body is cut very short except for the tail, ear, and head area. Simba thought he was very handsome.

He got to lay on the bed with Aimee's dad and give him comfort. Dogs are wonderful for that. They seem to sense that people need special love when they are sick. Simba was there with his mom to spend time with her dad before he died on July 10. You have our sympathy, Aimee. We are just never ready for that.

Simba gave so much love to others than he was exhausted at the end of the day, so he curled up with his toy and his bed.

And he fell sound asleep.

He's now back home in Virginia and so glad to be in his own yard.

Thank you, Simba, for being such a wonderful boy for your mom's daddy. I know it meant so much to him.

I want to extend our sympathy to Aimee and her family from all of us. We are so sorry for your loss.
