GINKGO

Mark, a Peke lover in Tennessee, sent me pictures of his Peke, Ginkgo. This picture was taken when he first got her in 2004 after his previous Peke Ping Pong died. Ginkgo had been shaved down to get rid of the mats in her hair-- like many have to be.

Ginkgo loves to be outside-- and will even sit in the rain. Of course, then he daddy has to dry her off! She loves to bury bones/treats in the yard. She will chase raccoons up trees, go after an opossum, ferret out a large toad, chase chipmunks, and other fun adventures. Like many of us, Mark puts up with all these things because he loves her so much. I'm sure we can all relate! Ginkgo and Mark have been following Homer's story and want to send a big hug and kiss-- and a rub to his head and ears. Oh, Homer would love that!

  4. Ginkgo also has the perfect recipe for drinking water: rainwater plus dirt, leaves, pine needles, bugs, and whatever else falls in her bowl outside! She doesn't like tap water and will go to the door and bark so she can go outside to drink her "nutritious" water!
