Must Love Pekes is a blog for those who love Pekingese -- their looks, their antics, their personalities. It is written by me, Linda, and I have been rescuing Pekingese for over 20 years. Lots of them have come through our home. We have loved them all.

MICKEY MAGOO/REST IN PEACE
Lisa and Andy, who adopted two Pekes from us, rescued Mickey Magoo from a shelter near them. Lisa saw his picture and he looked so miserable and filthy that she went to clean him up if she could. She said he was so sweet that she couldn't leave him there. He died last night in her arm, being held and comforted. Rest in peace, sweet boy. We are so sorry for your loss. Lisa said this is what happens when you agree to rescue older animals-- but it's also a blessing to give them love at the end of their lives. She said she has no regrets about the dollars, or tears or time. So much better to die with love. Thank you, Lisa and Andy.
So sad for your loss.
ReplyDeleteI miss him every day. He was such odd little thing, but always happy to see his friends and his mom and dad.
