CHESTER AT THE OPTHALMOLOGIST

Chester went to the opthalmologist yesterday to see if there was anything we could do to help him. He is such a great dog! He acts like he can see. He can jump on the couch, play with the other dogs...He is so affectionate and easy to pick up since he is small. The opthalmologist did a lot of tests on him. She said he wasn't as old as we were told, that he was much younger. She said he was probably born with bad eyes, maybe with cataracts, and that he had been blind for a long time. There's nothing we can do to help him to see. Chester is so sweet, and he does not miss his sight. He is happy, joyful and would be a wonderful addition to any family. He is being fostered with a four year old and is so good with her. Chester is a special needs dog, but he just thinks he is special. If you would like to adopt this special boy, just let us know!I just wanted to add this picture. This is Cosmo-- he was my first foster dog almost ten years ago! He is so beautiful, and I love his teeth. I'm so glad his parents are my friends and I get to know how he's doing. He's getting gray, but he is still a very special boy.
