Must Love Pekes is a blog for those who love Pekingese -- their looks, their antics, their personalities. It is written by me, Linda, and I have been rescuing Pekingese for over 20 years. Lots of them have come through our home. We have loved them all.

MILFORD
Milford is a senior Peke who came to us from a shelter in Virginia. He was kept in the office, not in the back. They wanted him to be in a stress-free environment and he loved it up there with the staff. At Jeanne's, he is doing great. He is rolling on his back in glee at having a safe and loving place to be.He learned the doggy door very quickly and is a sweet dog. He loves people and does great with other dogs.He loves Sassy Marie who at one point jumped up on an end-table to watch him. "Where did you go, Sassy?" After his neuter surgery, he stayed in the playpen. The Pekes don't mind it there, because it's open on the top and they can see everything. He seems a little depressed after his surgery, but hopefully, he'll come out of it quickly. Sometimes, they just don't feel good after surgery (and a dental). DiDi (Jeanne's FAVORITE dog! :-) ) is helping Milford to feel better. She goes out to sit on the porch with him.Milford is just taking time out for a nap. Sounds like a good plan to me.He does have some back issues which means he can't jump on furniture. We're checking into how we can help him. He is a very nice boy, and will be ready for adoption soon.
He is lovely :)
