Meet our newest addition. Her name is Chloe. She came to us via a Maryland shelter where she was terrified. Most Pekingese don't do well in shelters and Chloe was especially traumatized."I'M SO GLAD I'M OUT OF THE SHELTER AND INTO RESCUE!"And I have toys to play with, and people who love me.I am about 2 years old and 14 pounds. I know with good food, my coat will become soft and healthy. I'd like to be the only dog, so if you would like to have me in your home, just send rescue an email. potomacpekes@gmail.com. (I just received an email from the shelter rep who was instrumental in saving Chloe. She told me, "I had a Kennel Tech bring her to the Front Desk to be released (yes, I do get attached to some of them and it is just easier that way), but I gave her a “goodbye” hug and reminded her it would only get better from now on. For the
first time since she’d been here, she stood on her hind legs and put her paws on my knees and looked up at me wagging her tail---I think that was her way of saying “I know”." I love these rescue stories!
Another pretty one!!
ReplyDeleteI hope Chole finds a kind and fabulous home real soon!
I'm so glad you are out of the shelter, rescued, and being cared for, loved, and ... get to play with toys! Yay! You are a young beautiful peke, sure to be adopted soon!
