HAWK (AND OWL) WARNING
I had a very large owl (their wing span can be 8 feet!) try to get one of my Pekes years ago-- if it's "baby" season, your dogs are in danger.
We have this problem in the Midwest as well, in the country. Don't let your puppies out alone! Out here they're so big they will carry off large cats. Protect your pekes!
I have two puppies coming home with me at the end of the month, they won't be out alone at all. Just too many hawks. And coyotes. **shudder**

sadly I am over 12 pounds so those Owls don't frighten me Linda !! LOL
