PEKINGESE FOOT SOAK

Amelia/Meme (white) and Magnolia were adopted from us.  Poor Meme has a lot of allergies and her mom shared a foot soak that has really helped her.   When you have a dog with grass/outside allergies, they can really suffer as they walk on it, and then come in a lick their feet.    Here's what she sent me:

The foot dip/soak is: one gallon of water, one cup of hydrogen peroxide and one cup of apple cider vinegar (I used white vinegar when I didn't have apple cider vinegar and it seemed to work too). Soak dog's or cat's paws in the solution for 30 seconds then squeeze excess off and pat dry.     According to this site, where I got the recipe: http://ottawavalleydogwhisperer.blogspot.com/2012/04/natural-remedies-for-dogs-cats-with.html) apple cider vinegar has anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-viral properties. They also say you can put some peppermint essential oil (available at health food or natural grocers) in the mix so it smells nicer and makes the animal's feet feel nice and cool - that's recipe #3 on the link above.
Hope this helps!!
