Pudgie came to us from a shelter where he had been for awhile. His right eye was very enlarged and needed surgery.
The shelter said he was very sweet and good with other dogs. He needed our help. I didn't have a place for him, so he was in the shelter awhile-- and then....
We found a place for him! He was transported by Kay and Claretta and was on his way to a new life.
He had to have his eye removed-- there was just no saving it.
His foster brother, Chompers, thought Pudgie was a great addition to the family.
In fact, his foster parents thought the same and decided he was there to stay. They had lost one of their dogs recently and said Pudgie was good for their hearts to heal. They also thought he was so cute!
Pudgie and Chompers take naps together.
So sweet!
Where's your buddy?
I think these two are going to be friends for a long time. I'm so glad we were able to help him to find his own forever home!
Oh I just love them both !!!
ReplyDeleteAdore those photos of them asleep together !!!
I always say who saved who. Lots of love to pudgie and his buddy. Love love love to all pekes out there!

ReplyDeleteYou're so right, Rosanna. People commonly say, "I rescued our dog"; but in truth, the dog often rescues the person or people, too. In this case, it turned out we had a Pudgie-sized hole in our hearts. :)
