GATSBY

We received a request from a Maryland shelter asking for help.   This little boy has a horrible leg and needs help right away.    I am not posting the picture of his leg, it is really horrific.
Jeanne got right on it using facebook to let others know of his need-- and people stepped up to help. Diane Lombado was amazing in how she stepped up and even stayed overnight to get this little one to safety.    Thank you Debbie!!  Jerrie Williams was also one who was able to help.
Thank you, Jerrie!  What a blessing you and Debbie are!
Jeanne named him Gatsby and her groomer gave him a wonderful, soothing bath.
The vet saw Gatsby and cleaned his leg up and wrapped it.    There is a large tumor that is probably cancer, but we are hoping it can all be removed.
Gatsby is the sweetest, happiest Peke.   He presses his face to Jeanne's cheek and just melts her heart.   The surgery will be done as quickly as possible.  It was scheduled for last Friday, but the storms in Richmond shut down the power, so the vet was closed.
Please pray we can help Gatsby to have a long life.   Thank you to all of you who have sent in generous donations for his surgery.   Rescue is team work-- thank you for being on the team!
