Rudy came into rescue over a year ago. Jeanne got him because he was old and she didn't want him to die in the shelter. He was so sweet. He was surrendered because he was "old and slept a lot." He's gotten older and he still sleeps a lot. That's okay.
He had cancer and had surgery and did great. He had no intention of leaving soon.
During the summer, he has a summer cut to keep him cool. He is a full fledged member of his foster home.
Like Floyd, Rudy has a heart murmur and is on medication for that. He has arthritis and his hips are weakening and he can no longer turn or pivot. He sometimes falls down and has trouble getting up. But, he tries. Even with all this, he does not appear to be in pain.
Sherry, his foster mom, said you would never suspect hip or arthritis issues when she is making his dinner! He jumps and walks fast. He LOVES getting his meals. It makes her smile every time he does it. He is declining, but he still loves his life, his foster mom especially. He is receiving all the love he can get. And that will continue as long as he needs it.
Oh Rudy .... love you heaps! The older dogs are so wonderful ... please consider adopting them - they give love in tons!
