"Sometimes," said Pooh, "the smallest things take up the most room in your heart."  A.A. Milne

This is the hardest blog to do-- the last one of the year where we say farewell to those who have left us this year.   As I put each picture in, I know the heartache that each loss meant to their family.  My heart goes out to everyone who lost one this year.   If I missed a picture, or you would like your pet added here, please comment on facebook with a picture and name and I will add the picture to honor your pet.

  1. Thank you Linda, for writing your blog and especially for this most difficult year-end post. Your blog is truly the cement of our Peke community -- we share each other's joys and sorrows. This post especially reminds us of the love and heartache that each of us feel when losing our special companion. Must Love Pekes give dignity and a voice to Pekes (and friends) who were once unwanted, abandoned and/or neglected. I cherish your blog Linda and for all the you do. You are truly an inspiration. As Tom and I were looking through each of the photos of the departed Pekes, I naturally began to sob. We ached for SuzyQ and for all the other sweet angels that have been blessed enough to pass through PVPC rescue. But I reminded myself that all of the Pekes in your post had found love and kindness. Though they are now angels, their lives after coming into rescue were forever changed. Each and every one was loved and this is the thought that I need to hold onto, as I dry my tears. Wishing everyone a wonderful and blessed 2018, and we renew our spirit to help rescue in whatever way we are able to. Anna & Tom, and Willy Wonton, Bink, Oliver and Oona Cat
