I remember meeting Sugar-- we called her Sugar Annie-- in July of 2007. She was in a shelter near me and was only two years old. She had been turned into the shelter by her owner and was so afraid there. We took her into rescue. Debbie fostered her until she joined her new mom and dad.
She was adopted and had almost 11 years with them.
She had lots of toys.
She was adored and...
every birthday was celebrated.
She loved to wait at the door and watch for strangers in the neighborhood.
She developed diabetes but her mom and dad took care of every need she had. She was having a lot of other health issues recently and stopped eating. Her parents did everything they could for her, but Sugar was ready to go. She passed away at home in her mom's arms.
They have her paw print and hair in a tiny bottle. She is free of pain now and can run free and play with the others already there. ❤️
What a beautiful snow white Peke!! Sugar (wonderful name!) will be so missed.
ReplyDeleteGoodbye sweet sweet Sugar. To know you had 11 years of love and devotion, food, water and a home of your own is Heaven. Your parents are lost without you right now and sad for their loss but they knew you were ready to go and they clung to you as a comfort as you crossed that bridge.
