CHIEN CHIEN

Chien Chien was in a Roanoke shelter in 2008.   Can it be almost 11 years ago!  When she needed help, it was before we had a lot of help with transports, so I drove to get her.  My daughter lived in the Charlottesville area at the time, so I made it a fun journey by visiting them, also.
Her new mom changed her name to Chien Chien.  The full name was
I Fen Chien - meaning "one cent money."   She said, " It's the full expression and the way the Chinese would say it.  I spell it Chien, the French way, which also means dog in French.   It is an international name, with a bit of a play on words!"
They lived in the DC area at the time, but then they both moved to sunny California.
Chien Chien is thirteen years old-- and she is looking beautiful.
She still has that regal Pekingese stance.
She loves her walks and being outside.
When Chien Chien came from the shelter, she was so friendly.  (Her mom first met Starlight, who went postal at the thought of leaving us, LOL, but Chien Chien was perfect.)
She loves watching what is going on in her world.
She may be a little slower now, but that's okay.   (We are all slowing down. 😉
What a life you have, Chien Chien!!
