King Wyatt was in a NC shelter and would be euthanized if rescue didn't step up. You see, he's 16 years old and no one was going to adopt him.
Our rescue didn't want him to die alone in a shelter. So, all the paperwork was filled out (thank you Kay and Claretta!!) and they went to get him. He was covered in fleas-- so many fleas. He is probably very anemic, but we can help that.
He is an albino Peke and they need special care-- he obviously was not given any. His skin is a mess. And he has three tumors, so chances are, he has cancer. But, we will give him love and time and medical care.
He had his first bath-- oh, my, what was that!? But, he felt better.
And he curled up on soft blankets, with a toy and fresh water and great food, which he devoured. So, little King Wyatt, we will do all we can for you to make you safe and loved and comfortable. It's what we do. We are rescue. We hope we have changed his life.
Thank you for being there for him. I was overwhelmed with love at first sight. I wish I had the means to help, but know I have my hands full with my peke who was part of Dee Chapman's rescue and the five other dogs we have rescued from the streets of las vegas. Again I thankyou for giving tjis King a chance to know he is loved.
ReplyDeleteI am just so , so happy you have him !
ReplyDeleteKing is a beautiful dog and yes he is old but ... so am I !!!
I can only imagine what he felt like when you wash, feed and gave him a soft bed.
Yum Yum and I are saying mighty prayers for King Wyatt ,,, to live that long with no care- he is a fighter!!!
I admire and adore you so much for everything you do. Humanity, in my view is such a disgrace everywhere we look but organizations, rescues and wonderful people such as yourselves help restore faith and belief in what humanity is really about. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
ReplyDeleteWow, thanks so much for all you do! Sweet doggy!
