MR. DICKSON

Dickson is the sweetest boy. 

He came to us from a Maryland shelter after he was turned in.  He had been abandoned by his owner to a "friend" and they never came back.  He was not taken care of during that time, so he came to the shelter needing help.

He was in rough shape, but his personality didn't change.  He was a nice boy.  Dogs can be amazingly forgiving.

Dickson is about 9 years old. 

Dickson's eyes and ears have healed, but he still needs eye drops for dry eye.  He does have some hearing loss. 

His skin is healing, too, and he is responding so lovingly to the care he is receiving 

                     Dickson is a big boy and loves to eat! He has luxating patellas, so he is working on losing some weight to take the strain off his joints.

He is doing much better on his house training and he walks well on a leash. (Belly bands are awesome.)   Walks are also helping improve his muscle tone in his back and hips.   Dickson would do best in a home with a loving human and older child.  He would love to have someone who is home most of the time and can give him all the love and attention he always deserved. He will return that love and devotion ten-fold. Dickson would also do best in a home with a fenced-in yard so that he can roam and play safely.
