MINNIE AT THE VET.

I’ve had Minnie over two years.  She came into rescue w some trauma and she needed a stable place to be.
She doesn’t usually tolerate someone sharing her space.
To each, his or her own bed is the way to go.
Yesterday, Minnie didn’t eat breakfast, which was unusual.  During the day, Sugar Bit (who is five now) came to me to say something was wrong w Minnie.  I checked and thought she was having a bad dream so I picked her up and she seemed better.  Later, she climbed into bed w Sissy.  This was very odd.
She fell asleep w Sissy for awhile—and Sissy didn’t seem to mind.  That was unusual, too.  An hour later, Minnie began seizing.  She tried to walk to me.  Dogs will often try to get to their “safe place”— and I am that for her.   She kept falling and showing seizure symptoms like shaking, stiffness in her legs, eyes moving quickly. She is 15 1/2 so beginning seizures at this age is not good.
I took Minnie to the vet and she stayed awhile.   We did some tests and xrays, but the vet is leaning toward a brain tumor.   I’ve had a lot of seizure dogs, and I know seizures can increase if it’s from a tumor.  I’ll keep rectal Valium here in case she does have a seizure.  We will just try to keep her comfortable.   Care and love will surround her. 💖
