\Daisy Mae was in awful shape. She had infected ears, Ehlichia, she wasn't spayed.
She had mammary nodules (they ended up being benign). She had grade 4 dental disease, dry eye, and alopecia (fleas had done a number on her). She had other eye issues. Why hadn't they been taken care of?
Daisy Mae was a breeder dog. The ones used to make puppies and not cared for themselves.
Emily began her care and she had good food and soft places to sleep.
She had company and love. She had extensive vet care.
She began to blossom.
She learned she was safe.
A neighbor had convinced the owner to turn her into a shelter so someone would help her. That woman probably saved her life. Daisy Mae has been with her family over 1 1/2 years now. She has been through many procedures. She lost both eyes due to glaucoma, but her family has never given up on her. She is about 8 years old now. So young.
Emily has been part of our group for years-- that's how we met. She said she had no idea how much was involved with saving a dog until she got Daisy Mae.
Now she knows and she's amazing. She saved Daisy. Daisy has a home forever. 💜
