HAPPY BIRTHDAY COLBY--BRISTOL 18

I know many of you remember the Bristol 18 rescue in 2010.    Colby was one of the two puppies that were part of that group.

The two puppies were in terrible condition, along with their mom, Brandy.

But, rescue helps.  

The puppies were so adorable.

They were just two balls of fur as they became puppies-- not sick little ones.

Their mom was Brandy, and she was so traumatized by the life she had.

She flourished, though and became a beautiful Peke.   She passed away a little over a year ago. She had a life of love for 11 years.   (Carter was Colby's brother.  Jeanne kept him, and after Jeanne died, her husband kept Carter.   I found out recently that Carter passed away last fall.   I don't know what happened.)

Colby was adopted by my friend, Tracey.   

She went to visit him when he was little and had no intention of adopting.  

But, she fell in love.   I love this picture.

Colby just turned 12 on July 4!   He has so much love in his life.
