Oliver and his brother, Jagger below, live in Maryland. They belong to a friend of mine. Oliver is enjoying the sunshine and the fireplace. Warm all over!
Oliver found a daffodil-- and he ate it.
And daffodils are toxic to dogs.
Daffodils can cause vomiting, seizures, breathing issues, pain..... The flower itself is toxic, but the bulb is even more dangerous. Oliver only ate a small bit, but he was reacting and had to go to the emergency vet to be monitored. His heart and blood pressure were monitored for awhile until they were sure he was out of danger. He didn't feel well, but he survived. I wanted to share his story-- daffodils are pretty, but so dangerous.
