Rey, Leia and Padme were the girls in the group. They're all beautiful!!
This is Chu Chu. He looks small in the picture, but he's long and about 17 pounds. And oh, is he sweet! We are working on housetraining and he's catching on quickly. Padme is a sweet one, too-- the whole group is sweet! They were jumpy, but don't seem to be traumatized. Just shy.
Rey-- oh, she reminds me so much of one I had years ago. She was sick the first day in her foster home, but is already doing better. They go through so much in the first weeks of losing their home. Their owner is gone, their home is gone, they are in a shelter, terrified and confused. Then, they go on a transport, and the long day is more confusion for them. Then, they are put into foster homes. WHOA! That's a lot to go through. We give them time to decompress. Chu Chu was quiet and timid and jumpy the first day here. Now he races around, plays with toys and loves everyone.
Leia is here along with him (and Zeke). They saw themselves in the back door-- it was dark, and there was a reflection of THEM! Oh, they took it on. Barking and grumbling-- protecting me from those scary dogs. 😁Leia will have stenotic nares surgery, nasal fold surgery and spay. She will also see the opthalmologist. So will Jabba.
Oh Linda...... you all must be so busy with all these beautiful Pekingese !
ReplyDeleteI am praying for them all to get wonderful homes.
