LEAP DAY!

I had no idea this was Leap Year.  I just didn't pay attention.   I think Snuffles knew!

I know Leap Year comes every four years.   I just didn't know it was THIS year.   But, Schmoo was leaping around and I'm sure he knew.   Sometimes, dogs are just smarter than we are.

Lil Callie Gurl looks like she's about to leap-- or maybe it's just the wind.   

Tolstoy does regular leaping.  He's all about leaping onto furniture, couches, laps and other dogs.   Are your dogs leaping for joy today?   Share some pictures with us.    We are just about ready to leap into March-- I hope it's a great month.  
 

SOPHIS FRANCESCA SHARES HER TOYS

Sophia Francesca and her mom love our rescue.  Her mom adopted from us, and now Sophia Francesca is her best girl.   Sophia has a lot of toys.  

So, she asked her mom if she could send some to the West Virginia 6.   She wanted to help.  

Her mom helped her write me a message and I gave her the address where a lot of toys could be used.   

They were all just like new-- Sophia doesn't always want every single toy.   Most hadn't really been used.

Are you keeping that one?   It's a great toy.   Thank you for sending so many to our foster dogs.    They all love toys-- especially ones that squeak!  Thank you, Sophia Francesca!  And tell you mom hi, too.   💜
 

GINGER FINDS A HOME

 

Gingers life has changed A LOT.  She was adopted by a vet!  And she gets to go to work w her mom   She’s all set up in her moms office  her new mom will continue the care we began for her  💖

Gingers foster mom adored her.  Ginger can jump- was there a treat there?

Ginger also loved the other dogs there.  Gidget was watching—she IS her moms favorite girl after all. 

Ginger is going to be so cherished there.  Welcome to a wonderful new life. 

UPDATE-- SYMPHANY AND CHELLO

Chello (teeth showing) and Symphany came into rescue after being put in a shelter by their original owner.   They were adopted, but brought back.  

When we saw their picture, we knew we needed to help them.

They had been cut short and needed to gain weight.  

They settled into their foster home.

They are so sweet.  

Symphany is smaller-- look at those eyes.

They were both introduced to their new foster family and did great.   They all wait patiently for dinner without any squabbling. 

We see you Symphany.

This is right after rescue-- their hair is growing in, and they are gaining weight.

There's nothing like being safe.   They are a 13 year old pair who would love to have a forever home.    They will have their dental and then will be ready to go.

PADDINGTON GETS HELP

Paddington—and Piper— love to get on the trunk and guard the street.   Paddington needed help so he got his stuffed dog and set him up to keep an eye on the front area too. 

Piper joined them. Paddington, you’re looking at me instead of making sure no bad guys are out front.  
 This is their favorite spot to be.  They’ll probably spend a lot of Sunday there. 

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZEKE

Zeke had a birthday last week!   With all the West Virginia 6 coming in, I didn't get a chance to do a blog for him-- so I'm doing it now!  

Zeke came from a shelter after his owner could no longer care for him.  

I fostered him and if I was going to keep another, he would have been it.   He's perfect.  

He has a wardrobe so big, he has his own closet.  

Zeke got a new car bed.

I think he approves.  

I couldn't have found a better home for him.   

His mom and dad love him so much-- and Zeke is a real Daddy's boy.  He goes to the golf course and on long walks.   He is a pampered boy.  

Happy birthday precious boy!!!   You are so loved.  

CHARLOTTE—WEST VIRGINIA 6

Lady of the WestVirginia 6 is Charlotte.   At first. Thought it was a male. When I realized SHE was a girl and I had to gave her a very girly name  

She got a fancy purple harness.  Very pretty.  

She was ready for her foster home.   She made sure the toy was w her. 

We don’t know what she is- Peke mix, pug in there?   

Whatever she is, she’s adorable.  Under a year old, about 12-13 pounds.  She is trying to get Puddles, her foster brother, to play.

GINGER—WEST VIRGINIA 6

Ginger of the West Virginia 6   She's a red one, and everyone loves a red one.   

Lisa was one who helped me with transport-- and she had to get a kiss.

Ginger was "seriously?"   Back in the car?

She and Brock were ready to head to their foster homes with the other 4.  

Ginger-- what can I say.   She's under 11 pounds and needs to gain weight like the rest.   We think she's 6 ti 8 months old.  

She had fit right into Amee's house.  She loves to get on the furniture.

A table will do, too.

Her foster mom is having so much fun with her.  

Ginger hasn't had one accident since being there.   She loves the other dogs, she's just perfect.   She needs to be spayed and be on her doxycycline for a month.  

We are not accepting applications for her since we have several already.    This group is just magnificent.   #WV6
