FAREWELL TINSLEY

Tinsley came into rescue in February 2012. He was about 3 years old and he had lived the previous two years outside. A neighbor fed him and did what she could for him. The owner "caught" her feeding him and that's when she saved his life.
He had been on this wire.  The neighbor told the owner to give him to her or she would contact animal control. This Peke was living in a cold winter area and that's no place for a Peke to be outside!
We were asked to help. Of course we would.
Tinsley was adopted once, but he was returned.  He did have a "sparkly" side to his personality.
He loved being in the yard with his friends.
Max was his best friend.
Tinsley grabbed the newspaper out of his foster mom's hand and took off.   His foster mom said this was when she fell in love with him.  💙
After a year in foster care, his foster mom decided he was home.    No more moves for this boy.
For a dog who had been left outside so long, it was surprising how much he enjoyed the snow.
He knew a warm home was waiting if he wanted to go inside.
He dressed up for holidays.  Hot dog...
Santa...
Maybe he was hiding from the next costume.  :-)
Tinsley learned to relax there and he knew he was loved.
He loved his toys.  He probably had never had any.
When he had a bath, he would race around like most of them do.  Tinsley was about 15-16 when he began having health issues.   His mobility was affected.  He had trouble getting around.  That increased greatly and he began to have a head tilt.
His mom Susan tried everything the vet suggested.  When nothing worked anymore, it was time to let him go.  He was so precious to his mom.  He had his quirks, but it made him all the more special.  Run free, sweet boy.  You were so loved.  💓
