Corky, now Keller, came into our rescue in July of last year. He had both eyes, but both were so damaged from neglect that he couldn't see. They had to be removed.
But, he was still a happy dog-- they just gave him trouble and now he isn't in pain.
I used this picture before, but wanted to use it again. He is so happy with other dogs, and loved his outfits. He is just a sweet dog!
Keller won the "cutest pet of the week" contest where he lives. Of course he won! He is precious. http://www.wral.com/lifestyles/pets/image_gallery/1267440/
Keller is going to stay with his foster mom, Colleen. She takes him to work every day and just wasn't sure she could give him up. He came such a long way from the neglected dog that came into rescue. I'm so glad she is keeping him!! So is Keller!!
OK - I am going to be honest.
ReplyDeleteI was so upset when I saw this but then I kept reading on and now I have such a great feeling about Keller and his Mum!!!!!!
It is such a touching and sad story but .... when I let it "settle "within me - its a Couragous and Fantastic Story and I send my love to you both!
So many people would have put dear Keller "down" but he sure shows us this DOES NOT NEED TO HAPPEN!!
BRAVO TO YOU BOTH!!!!
Yay for Keller and his mom!!!
