Keller was rescued from a shelter 2 1/2 years ago. We didn't have space for him, but a rescue friend offered to foster him. Keller had very bad eyes and they needed to be removed. He also needed to be neutered, have his vaccines, and a dental (most dogs we get have had no medical and desperately need a dental).
Keller was about 8 years old when we got him, so he's over ten now. He looks great! His foster mom asked if she could adopt him after having him for awhile and I couldn't have been happier for Keller.
Like some of the Pekes I own, Keller has developed a seizure disorder. This is in the top ten things that happen to Pekingese, but it can be managed. (I have one Peke who's been on seizure meds for almost ten years-- with no problems.) Keller is so happy with his mom, who takes incredible care of him and loves him so much. What more could we ask for our sweet foster dogs!
Keller is such a brave boy and you sure can see how much he is loved.
ReplyDeleteOh no...Another foster failure! Glad Keller won his foster mom's heart, and is getting lots of TLC from her. I'm happy for Keller and his furever home with his mom!
