BRANDY AND CAMDEN

I know those who remember the Bristol 18 rescue in summer of 2010 like to hear updates.   We took in 18 dogs at one time-- dogs who had been so neglected, abused, and who lived in horrific conditions.   Brandy, on the right above, one was of them.  That's her brother Camden with her.
Brandy was the 9 pound, thin, mother of two puppies that we took in.   She was obviously given no care, and was in awful condition.
Her foster mom took her in and loved her to wholeness.   Within months, she was a stunning 16 pound gorgeous Peke.   She wasn't great with strangers and still had that hesitation with people, but she loved her foster family.
She had her own special pink thunder shirt which helped her with her stress.
She had that huge underbite which her two sons inherited from her.  (Carter and Colby)
Just look at the fluff ball she became.
She is now about 12-13 years old and doing well.  She and Camden became playmates, and she liked to bite his ears and chew on his ankles.  I think Camden helped her learn that it was okay to trust some people and learn to love them.   When a dog has been in a puppy mill or with a back yard breeder like she was, they can have a lot of mistrust.
She is a happy girl now and loves her family.   Who could resist that face.  💜
