They have two locations now-- one is small, and quiet and I love to go there even though it's further away.
Acredale offers things that many vets don't offer.
They have many vets there, and incredible vet techs. They do dentals, and many surgeries that aren't offered at most vets. Our fosters (and my own) have had: dentals, knee surgery, bloat surgery, eye surgeries, and so many others.
They take time to teach us about the problems out pets may be dealing with.
Petey had his dental done while he was with me. It usually takes weeks to get on the schedule, but they are worth the wait. (In emergency, they somehow fit us in-- thank you!) My vet has the best prices around, and I know the care our pets get there is supreme.
Piper had all his care done there. He also had a haircut there at their groomer's. I like using my vet's groomer because if there is a medical issue, the vet is available. They also have a walk in service, which many vets do not offer. They have a plan there that gives access to 24/7 care at NO EXTRA charge! I encourage people here to sign up for it. I've taken in new fosters on Sundays and "after hours" and get the same amazing care.
My vet does xrays (this is one of Petey's) and they also do ultrasounds. Most vet clinics send you to a specialist for ultrasounds. It's another wonderful advantage.
Mizmo is getting all his care there, and my Max is followed closely while he is in kidney failure. I can go in and have fluids given and bloodwork done without a problem.
Steve held Mizmo while we were there last week-- he is one of their superb vet techs.
I love this metal old cabinet in the lobby-- I'm going to tell Dr. Alex I want it. 😉 LOL
They have the Veterinarian's Oath posted in the lobby. And they believe it:
Being admitted to the profession of veterinary medicine, I solemnly swear to use my scientific knowledge and skills for the benefit of society through the protection of animal health and welfare, the prevention and relief of animal suffering, the conservation of animal resources, the promotion of public health, and the advancement of medical knowledge.
I will practice my profession conscientiously, with dignity, and in keeping with the principles of veterinary medical ethics.
I accept as a lifelong obligation the continual improvement of my professional knowledge and competence.
They have a collage of some of our rescue Pekes hanging in the lobby. If you just need to pick up food or meds, you can go to a separate counter to speed up your visit.
When I go there, I know the care (of my own dogs and my foster dogs) will be the best. When a dog is in critical shape, they react quickly. Little Cami Bear had incredible care there and when he went into crisis, I was called and able to get there to hold him as he left me.
Nala was seen every week to give her the best care. We saw the same vet each time (they have over 14 vets there), and my vet's heart broke with mine when Nala passed away (and my vet came in on her day off which was such a gift).
I want to thank my vet clinic for the amazing care they give. Sometimes you wait-- but they are constantly prioritizing who is the most critical. I've been in the back when one of my dogs is getting care there-- and I've watched the vet techs and vets as they work. It's incredible. So much goes on there. I know when we go, we want our dog to be first-- but the most serious dog will be cared for first-- and I'm all for that. If that serious dog is mine, I'm so grateful for this policy.
When it's time to let one go, the vets are incredibly caring and supportive and give all the time I need to stay with them. Love is there.
I've used my vet for over 20 years-- and my dogs and fosters have all been given great care and compassion. Minnie is one who is so nervous except for at home, and they are so good with her.
My Kai Kai had a stroke last year and the clinic supported me all the way in his care. And for the most part, he totally recovered. He still has a little head tilt, but he's here. 💙
Chumley and Max continue to receive care as they have had serious medical issues. I love my vet and all they do. When you walk in, you are greeted by receptionists that truly care. And they have a sense of humor with me, which I love! Thank you, Acredale Animal Hospital-- we all love you! ❤️ YOU ARE THE BEST!
That is a great Vet Clinic !!!
ReplyDeleteIf I lived near you ... they would be mine too !!!
