RASCAL FINDS A HOME.

Rascal and Zoey came into rescue in August.  Their owner had passed away and three dogs were taken to the shelter.  One was a hound and was returned to his rescue.  We took the Pekes.
Neither dog was in good shape.  Rascal wasn’t secure and he was afraid.
Toni fostered him and he settled in there.
He had been shaved down completely, even his tail.
He was insecure but Toni has a gift for  special ones.
He began to realize he was safe.
He had to have a dental— he lost 30 teeth. His mouth would feel so much better.
His hair began to come back.
He began to love Toni and her gentle way.
Dickson is there, too and they did fine.
Rascal doesn’t see well but he could find Toni.  He is 14 and mostly deaf.
He began to have a playful side.  He would let Toni touch him and hold him.
He became her work sidekick.  He let her hold him like a baby.  That shows so much trust.
Rascal has morning zoomies and he took charge of  the rest when they needed to be straightened out.  We had a lot of inquiries about him, but none were the right place.  It had to be a place where there was a calm environment and no kids.   Toni loves his antics and his personality and she decided that at 14, he needed not to move again.  She decided he was home.  So, Merry Christmas Rascal.  You have your forever home. 🌲❤️
