Miss Panda came to my attention in 2016. She needed a home and my friends has just lost their Koko (one of our adopted dogs) to IMHA.
She joined the family and has owned them every since.
She is definitely a daddy's girl. He became her main person-- Pekes do choose sometimes.
Dottie was abandoned. She was 11 years old and still breeding. She was a mess. A man showed up to claim her-- but when he was told he would be charged with felony animal abuse, he suddenly said it wasn't his dog.
She is blind and deaf and had no muscle tone. She is definitely special-abled. And she deserved a place to rest, to "be."
So, Panda, who is always in charge, said Dottie could stay. The rescue that was supposed to take her didn't end up taking her.
So, Panda said, "she's home." Panda is in charge of the rest-- so what's one more?
All of them take note if Panda wants something, or says something. Yes, they do.
Dottie has cancer and limited time-- but that time will be spent smelling flowers, wandering the yard, having good food, and loving attention. Panda was in need herself at one time. Now she is passing it on.
Well..... my Yum Yum was really fancying Miss Panda... "oh, so pretty" but then he read that she is a bossy girl .... a touch of the Meghan Markles "what ever Meghan wants Meghan gets!" said Prince Harry .
ReplyDeleteYum Yum saw that Miss Panda was a Very beautiful girl BUT she is the Boss of the house and there can only be ONE Boss and that is .... Yum Yum !
Sadly... there goes a romantic Peke love story ! Long distance too.
* honesty Linda - they would fight! lol
Yum Yum is spot on. Although Panda does not fight often and is not mean to anyone who understands who runs the railroad, even my 52 pound male corgi is respectful. She has welcomed Dottie with open paws. She is really beautiful Yum Yum. And soft too.
ReplyDeleteWell Yum Yum. She IS beautiful and soft and quite amazing. But she is her own person and no one tells her what to do (although she is open to suggestions). Even our 50 pound Corgi is respectful of her. However she has welcomed Dottie with open arms and that is all I want.
