THE UNSURGERY DAY

Snow Pea
I got up early yesterday and took Snow Pea for her spay surgery.  We arrived at 8:00, all set.  No food, no breakfast.
But they called a few hours later and after giving her light sedation before surgery, they shaved  her tummy and were all set to do surgery.   But... they found a faded tattoo.   That meant that wherever she was spayed a tattoo was put on to show it.   It was so faded though, that they barely saw it.
I went to pick her up and her tongue was hanging out and she was still drowsy.   I carried her outside once we got home.
All the dogs checked her out.  Even Paddington.
"Are you okay?"
They were all concerned and stayed close.   Looi at Paddington's face.  So worried.
Then she decided to rest on the porch and have a nap.
Later, the couch looked good.   I think she'll be totally awake tomorrow. :-)

MOM’S HOME

I was in Augusta, GA for the weekend.   Snow Pea was fine and so were the rest.

Paddington took care of Cinnamon but she didnt smile the entire time.  πŸ˜©

Dad did a great job caring for them bit they were so happy I was home.  They are Mama’s dogs.
This morning, I took Snow Pea to the vet for her spay.  That meant she had a bath after I came home.   Yawn.  But I wanted her all clean before surgery.  Now to go back home and maybe sit a bit.  Ha.  That probably won’t happen. 😁

TD SAYS HAPPY SUNDAY

TD is a PVPC alumni.   April is almost over but it’s still cool.  Don't worry — the warm weather is coming.  For now, we will just enjoy it along w the azaleas that are blooming.

So we will just relax and love the flowers—reds, whites, pinks.  πŸŒΊπŸŒΊ

WHERE’S MOM

I’m sure Cinnamon wonders where I am.  Snow Pea wonders, too.

Callie is more of a daddy’s girl.  She’s pretty chill.
Dont worry guys.  Daddy is there w you.  Sometimes, I have to do things.

It may be a little confusing but I’ll be home tomorrow.
Just hang out while I’m away. ❤️. And have fun w dad. 😍

FAREWELL BELLA

In June 2015, Bella was listed in the paper “free to a good home.”   Those make me shudder since so many things can go wrong.
But, one of our volunteers saw it and was able to get her.   She was safe.

She was adopted to a wonderful home w Angela.
I asked her mom to tell me about her.  She said Bella was so smart.  She tsught her to shake, sit and roll over.  She loved the treats she got.
Bella was her the “baby” for such a long time.  When Angela’s baby daughter joined the family, Bella wasn't sure about this little human.  They became friends though and I know she misses her little Bella now.
Bella didn’t like to be bothered if she was asleep so they knew to wake her gently.  πŸ˜‰
Bella got older, she aged like the rest. She had trouble walking.
Her mom did all she voild but knew it was time.  Bella left as she lived— loved and cherished.

Run free now sweet Bella. 🌈

BENTLEY AKA BANJO #WV6

Bentley was one of the #WV6.   Like the rest, he was very young.
He was loved at the vet's office, and they all received such great care.
He was fostered by Joe and Sonia, and they adored him.   They had previously fostered Bellamy, and his owners wanted to meet Bentley.
He's been there several weeks and it's as if he was always there.
He loves his new home and his new siblings,
He has a new sister, and of course, Bellamy is now his brother.
He is totally relaxed there.   His new human brother is young (and very good with dogs) and could not say "Bentley" so he called him Banjo-- it stuck.
So, Banjo is home-- and loving it!  πŸ’–

SNOW PEA, PILLOW PEA

It’s hard to believe that Snow Pea has only been here for three weeks

She made herself right at home.  She even got on the ottoman w Paddington  and Piper.

Paddington was fine then but fussed at her later  πŸ˜©  so I moved her to the couch   She was contemplating a move beside him but I shifted her   He’s a funny boy  he’s become Cinnamon’s guiding dog but not others.

She loves to be on the couch and on the pillows.  You can barely see her in this picture.
This is her favorite spot.
And this. 😍. She definitely loves pillows.  We came up w nicknames like Couch Pea and Pillow Pea.

She had her dental, lost 17 teeth.  She has 8 left.  I know her mouth is healing and she must already feel so much better.  Her ears are healthy now.  I’m not sure if she hears much.  Sometimes when I call, she looks at me.  Other times, she either doesn’t hear or is ignoring me. πŸ˜‚. It happens here. lol
Snow Pea, Piper and Paddington had baths yesterday.  Poor and Paddington were trimmed some.  Snow pea’s hair is starting to grow.  She was shaved down because of her condition and she was missing a lot of hair.  She gets baths twice a week and is healing.
Snow Pea will be spayed Monday and then will be ready for a new home.  We have someone who wants her.  We’re so happy for Snow Pea. She is ready for a forever home. πŸ’•. They will so lucky to get this sweet one.

REGGIE—FIVE YEARS OLD

Reggie has such unique markings.  He’s stunning.
His adopter could no longer keep him so we were asked to help find him a home when he was a year old.
She’s a great person and we were happy to help.  She felt he would be better in his own home since they had a family of Pekes. We rarely have puppy pictures of our fosters but we have his.  Don’t you want to kiss him? 😍
Four years ago in February, he went to his forever home.
His mom adores him.
Reggie just turned 5 last week.  I know he had a wonderful birthday. πŸŽ‚πŸŽ‚πŸŽ‚πŸŽ‚πŸŽ‚
It’s so awesome to keep up with our alumni.   Happy birthday Reggie! πŸŽ‚
