SOPHIA FRANCESCA’S WALK

Yesterday I wrote about a Sunday walk.
Sophia Francesca and her mom walked around a monastery. It looked like they had a very peaceful time.
Sophia was allowed there outside.  Dogs aren’t allowed inside.  They don’t know Sophia would have been perfect.
I could have spent hours there.
There were places to sit and rest.
It was a nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

SUNDAY WALKS

The weather in Virginia is finally warming up.  Gigi, Toasty, Tuk Tuk and Granger are happy it’s nice out
for a walk.  And yes, Granger still has some
orange on him from Halloween.  It’s fading.
Never thought it would last this long.
Tuk Tuk thought it was awesome.
And now for an afternoon nap. 💤💤
How’s your Sunday?

ELWOOD AND FRIENDS

Elwood was my foster dog 11 years ago in February of 2014.  He was about 2 we think. He was so so sweet. He loved to play and was just about perfect.
I took him to Richmond to meet his future family. He met Moe and they immediately began to play and run.
Best friends right away.
Lizzie joined the family in December 2018.
Then it was 3 of them on a walk.
Moe was so happy w his doggy family.
Lizzie loved Moe and Elwood.
Lizzie and Moe and Elwood are such good friend.
They are a wonderful trio.
Seeing their pictures make me smile. 🥰

GIDGET -- MOMMY'S GIRL

Gidget is Amee's special girl.   I fostered Gidget in 2020-2021.   I went on vacation and asked my daughter to watch out dogs, but Amee watched Gidget.  Gidget never came back home with me.  She was home with Amee.
Gidget came into rescue with her brother, Rocky in December 2020.   She was 9 at the time,  She had white eyelashes which gave her a distinct look.
Gidget welcomed Autumn to her home recently.  She knows what it is like to be the new one.
Gidget also thinks she's the queen bee, so she lets them know she is in charge.
Autumn is so glad that Gidget let her stay.
Gidget had a bath the other day.  Her mom messaged me to see if I could hear her screaming--and I'm almost 100 miles away.  LOL   Gidget CAN SING!!
Gidget is now 13.  It's hard to believe.  As she had gotten older, she has decided that she enjoys fruit.  Her mom said mango is her favorite.  I love mango, too.
Gidget may be a little older now, but she will always be her mommy's girl.  💜

KRINGLE’S MOM

Kringle is one of our Christmas rescues. He and Dickens are the two older ones in the group.
He will be officially adopted by his foster mom next eeek. But we knew he was the one for her already.

💕

His foster mom has helped us w several Pekes.
Marti, how many is it?
He is being cared for so well now.  He has a brand new life because of his mom’s love.
His mom went away for a few days. She left Kringle with some nice people and some other dogs.  When she picked him up came and picked him up, he was a silly goof she said.
He checked out his home to make sure nothing changed.  It was all the same.   There’s nothing better than home. 🏠❤️.

TOASTY--SO MANY FACES

Toasty can have so many faces.  He's such a happy dog, but his face doesn't always show it.
This is his curious look.  He's watching his dad recover the stools.  And he got a bandana from the same material.  He looks great in it.  I like the material, too.
This is his debonair look.  Regal.  Can you see it?
This is his "feel sorry for me" look.  Haha-- he gets so much attention!
This is worried Toasty. He's contemplating life here.  What ARE your plans Toasty?   Or is it taking too much energy to continue thinking?
I think it was.  He's barely keeping his eyes open.  It's okay Toasty-- go take a nap.

SWEET JOLLY

Jolly was adopted to a wonderful family, but it didn't work out.  He's back with his foster family and TD.
We found that Jolly can't be alone for long periods of time.   And we realized he needs a friend.
Jolly was here awhile, and he made me laugh when he jumped in the dryer.   He may look solemn, but he's not.  He's happy!
He enjoys being held and he would love having one pf other dogs from his group.
Jolly is about 3-4 years old and is small-- under 10 pounds.  When we got him, he was only 7.2 pounds.

Jolly will need a home where someone is around most of the time.  He needs a dog friend to play with.  He loves walks with his foster dad.   He isn't too sure of the big dogs he sees, but he knows his foster dad is right there.   He is a happy, loving boy.  If you can offer him the home he needs, you can apply.  Home and vet checks required.

PIPER AND PADDINGTON—BIRTHDAY!

Piper and Paddington came into rescue 6 years ago last month.
Their owner was in the hospital and couldn’t take of them anymore.  Paddington looks at Piper as his father figure.
They had all their medical completed.  My husband had never asked to keep any of the dogs I fostered.  But he asked if we could keep them. ❤️❤️
Paddington has grown long beautiful ears. He is a stunning red Peke.
Piper has become my shadow.  Where I go, he goes.  I was told he was a Malti-Poo.  When I did a DNA test on him, he wasn’t a Malti-Poo.  He was a Shih Tzu/Maltese.  And he even has 2% Pekingese!
Paddington is a big mush.  You can hold him on his back like a baby.  I can trim his nails and he doesn’t budge.
They found the Pekingese pathway in the yard right after they came.
Paddington has the nickname “Bad Pad.”  He has been known to be a pistol w male foster dogs.  😩
But how could I stay mad at this face.  Nope.  Can’t do it.
When Cinnamon came into rescue, Paddington became her protector.  He has never fussed at her!
Now they celebrated another birthday here.  Paddington turned 9 and Piper turned 10.

Happy birthday Piper and Paddington. 🎂❤️🎂❤️
Let’s all celebrate! 🥳🎉
