WINTER AND TODD

Winter and her new brother Todd realized it was LABOR DAY WEEKEND.  They had to do something!  Planning began!
The beach!  That’s what they wanted.
They convinced their family that one more beach weekend was in order.  Off they went. 🌊⛱️
Awe… time on the beach.  Nothing like it.  Just brush off the sand and have a beautiful weekend!   Such good friends 🥰.

LUNA GOES TO VISIT

Luna came into rescue in 2019.  She had a back injury but w exercise, she improved a lot. Her foster mom decided she was part of the family.
Her brothers, Monk and Nippy, passed away.  She has been lonely.
She went to visit TD and Jolly.
They went for a walk. Jolly wasn’t too sure.
They are both so cute. Luna wanted to be his buddy but Jolly was being his introverted self.  A lot of the Christmas pups are similar.  Trusting is hard.
TD and Jolly sacked out the rest of the day.  One day, we will find Jolly’s forever home.  We will wait for it. ❤️

BETHANY UPDATE

Bethany was in the first group of the Christmas rescue.  She arrived December 23, and it was the best Christmas she ever had.   Look at her now!  Look at that smile!
She was fostered and adopted by Hannah's family.  Hannah was a puppy we had in 2019.
Her mom said I told her that Hannah would be a big Peke-- and she is much bigger than Bethany.   Hannah is 18 pounds and Bethany is 12.  So cute!  Me and mini me.
Hannah and Bethany love to take toys from each other-- it's a fun game they play.  It looks like Bethany won a big one!
It looks like she won ALL of them!  LOL  Hannah is such a great big sister.  She plays with Bethany all the time and they run around the back yard together.
Bethany has come so far-- she is still timid with people, and she has chosen her mom as HER person.  Many Pekes do that.    She is now living the best time of her life-- healthy, happy and loved.  💜

ANGEL ADOPTED

Angel came into rescue in July. Her owner died and her daughter wanted a good home for her.  Her foster mom said, “She is a doll baby.  She is slowly acclimating to the routine and others.  We are getting there! 🙂”

Angel had not been around other dogs but she’s doing fine.  She has a mellow group to be with. She loves to go outside and being in the fresh air.
Her foster mom decided to adopt her because she was so sweet.  Welcome to forever Angel!💕

Look at how precious they are.  Twins.
Callie (aka Olivia, my foster mini Australian puppy) lives there too.  We love this family.

TOASTY GOES TO COLLEGE

Toasty has been with his family almost 2 years.
He is part of the family with Tuk Tuk, Granger and Gigi.
He loved his brothers and sister-- but he loved his girl the most.   The first time Toasty met my oldest granddaughter, it was absolute love between the two of them.   My granddaughter graduated from college and is headed to New York to begin her PhD program.   She wanted to take Toasty with her.  She found an apartment that allowed dogs AND has a fenced yard.
So Toasty headed off to college yesterday.  (If for any reason, he doesn't do well there, he will come back home.)
The drive made him so sleepy.
He checked out some of the outside area.   He will have a roommate
who is so excited to have him there!
Toasty's new adventure at college has begun.  Stay tuned for updates!!  Yay Toasty!!

DALLAS AND LEX

Dallas and Lex came into rescue three years ago next month.   They had been well cared for and loved their whole lives.  Their owner had died and her daughter traveled for work.  She asked us for help, and we were able to find them a wonderful home.  Their new mom and dad sent us this picture.  The boys were caught chilling on the porch swing.  They are happy little Pekes!   Happy Sunday sweet boys!! 🌞

JOLLY AND THE BUS STOP

Jolly is still very shy. He saw his little neighbor going to the bus stop.

So he walked along w her.
Now she looks for Jolly and has to greet him.
Jolly is a bit hesitant but he is more confident than he used be.
The other kids greet him and are very happy he’s there.  We’re so proud of Jolly!

DOGS AND GLASSES

Dogs can use glasses for many reasons.  Some like them to keep sun out of their eyes.
Fresia’s mom thought she should have a glamour shot w sunglasses on. Love her eye shadow.  Her glasses are strictly for show.  ðŸ¤©
Her sister, Scout, wears glasses during her laser treatment.
It protects her eyes which is essential.
Dickens had laser treatment, too.  Every so often, he needs a treatment even though I still do his therapy at home.
Scout said, “Forget the goggles. I’m into !”  She does look adorable.
Share pictures of your dogs w glasses on. 😎

WASABI—ANOTHER ADOPTION

Do you remember the blog I did to help another rescue?  Here it is.
They had taken in a pair who had been brought to a vet to be euthanized.  Their owner couldn’t take care of them and their caretaker took them to the vet.
Wasabi was one of them.  His sister Cashmere was adopted, they were better apart.
One of our board members saw Wasabi’s picture.  It was instant love.   She was able to adopt Wasabi and he has joined our PVPC family. 😀.  I am planning to meet him in the next month or so. I can’t wait.
Finley, her current dog, is thinking on how he feels about this.  He says he will have to think on it while he naps.
Wasabi is so sweet and he loves his new family. He is loving his toys. His new dad adores him.
I love when rescues can help each other.  Wasabi is a lucky and loved boy.  Welcome to your new life. 🥰
