This is Dash.
We were contacted by his owner. His family was having to relocate after having Dash for 12 years. Dash is about 14 and he could never have made the long trip in an air plane and the quarantine required where they were moving. So, with a broken heart, they asked for help. We emailed back and forth and I really liked this family-- I could tell they loved their boy.
So, Dash came into rescue on Tuesday. Floyd said, "Another senior citizen!"
Dash checked out my yard with the rest of the Pekes. Yes, he has a little arthritis, and he will need eye drops. But, he does so well.
Dash is only 12 1/2 pounds, very compact. He is not a bit aggressive and so sweet. His tail wags a lot.
BeeBee said, "More friends!"
Nala was happy to meet him.
Dash is getting his medical work up like we do on all the dogs we take in. But, he's seems very healthy and just needs a forever home to go to. He may not have that long, but he will give love in abundance!

My heart goes out to the family who must leave him behind but they're doing it out of love for their sweet boy who is aged and would not be up to travel that distance and the stress of quarantine because it is very stressful.
Love this wonderful lady who opens her heart and her home for Pekingese babies in need. She's a special kind of person for sure.
