WELCOME BERKELEY

We have taken in some mixes lately since there have been few Pekes to rescue.  I know more will come, but we're helping other little ones also.
This little 7.5 pound dog was turned in to a Richmond shelter.
They asked if we could help so Lisa went to meet him.   He is so sweet.
We named him Berkeley because Berkeley Plantation in Virginia is where the first Thanksgiving was held.  (It was two years before the Pilgrims.  You can look up the story on this site: Home | Berkeley Plantation)
He's been to the vet and will be neutered in a few weeks.  He needs to gain some
weight, but we can do that!
He is playing with the other dogs at Lisa's and is a loving Peke-a-Chi.  That's what we are guessing he is.  What do you think?

I think Berkeley could be a Maltese/Peke ???
Whatever he is - he is adorable and he looks like a wonderful dog for someone who just wants a little friend .
