WELCOME TO RESCUE STELLA FEY

I received a message this little girl needed help.  Her mom was in the hospital and couldn’t take care of her.
I picked up on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.
I found some pictures of her before we got her.
She was very loved.  She’s only 7 years old.  She’s not big at 12 pounds.

I always introduce my dogs to a new one in our yard.
It’s neutral territory.  Stella loved the leaves.  She kicked and plowed through them.
She was fascinated w the area near the steps.  So Paddington and Piper had to check it out, too.

She came inside and she was good w the dogs.  Then she wanted to be bossy.  Then she was fine.  πŸ˜.  She was an only dog but she’ll learn these are her friends.
My vet had a grooming appointment open tomorrow.  They gave it to me.  Yay!
Stella’s teeth are pretty bad.  Even though she’s 7, genetics can play a big part in their health.  So my vet is fitting her in on Monday since Stella really needs it.
It was a long day and she has found several beds to rest in.   Welcome to rescue little one.

ANOTHER TRANSPORT DAY

Sorry Paddington but I need to go help another dog today.  Remember YOU were once a dog I went to transport.
Callie will just hang out in her new sweater.  It’s stretchy so she’ll be able to stretch out or curl up.
Piper and Paddington will watch out the window.
Or they can curl up on the couch.
Might get crowded.  Stay tuned to find out who I’m getting. πŸ˜‰

NOT A BATH!

It was time.   Tolstoy could hear the water running.
"What's happening?"  said Tuk Tuk.
Trapped?   "Why did I have to be first?"
"I'll help you brother!"
When it was Tuk Tuk's turn, Tolstoy tried to offer support.
Look at that jump!   This dog has some long, springy legs!!  (Now we know how he got the cheese off the counter.)
They all needed a bath-- but Tolstoy gives that "so sad" look and it's so endearing.   He still got a bath.  LOL
Granger, getting in the in the bag didn't save you.   You were in line with the rest of them. πŸ˜€

DIAMOND AND PIPER-- CHRISTMAS

Diamond came to us in such need-- but look at her now.   She was adopted and her mom and dad told me her skin and hair continue to heal.   She is blind (she has no eyes now), but her hearing is fine and she loves getting into the toy basket and dumping the toys out.    Her health has changed so much that the only medication she has is apoquel for some allergies.  (So many were part of her journey by supporting our work to help her and so many others.  We are so grateful.)
Diamond and Piper have their own stockings.  They are hung on the bookcase.
This will be Diamond's first Christmas with her family.
Piper has his own ornament on the tree.
And so does Diamond.    I have a candy cane almost just like this on my front door. :-)
The decorating is done and Piper and his sweet sister....
Diamond will now rest and wait for Santa.    Seeing these two dogs makes my heart feel so good.   They are why we rescue.   πŸΎπŸΎπŸ’“

PIPER -- DECORATING IS EXHAUSTING

I shared this picture of Piper-- he was my foster about 11 years ago.   I'll share more about the Christmas preparations he and Diamond πŸ’Ž are doing.
He and his dad decided to rest after all the work.  Decorating is exhausting.
I'm just about to begin the process, but many are already done.
They can come help me.  πŸŽ„πŸŽ„
HAPPY SUNDAY!

HANNAH BERRY-- WAITING

Hannah Berry came into rescue four years ago.  I can't believe it's been that long.
She had been advertised for sale.   She was just a puppy.   I waited almost an hour for the sellers to come outside.   It was headed toward evening and I was about ready to leave when they brought her out.   So happy!
She joined Sunny's family (bottom right).   Snuffles was also a foster dog at the time.   His adopters met both Snuffles and Hannah.  They couldn't decide-- so they adopted both of them.   πŸ’•
Hannah is so loved.
They posted this picture last year, so I'm sure they will have Christmas pictures again soon.
It will soon be time to watch for Santa.
For now, Hannah will be making her Christmas list.
Don't worry, Hannah.   Christmas is coming soon.   Thanksgiving was just two days ago.   We have to wait. :-)
