FRIENDS—SCHMOO AND SNUFFLES

Snuffles and Schmoo are having their “morning coffee.”  

They’d really like this!   

They have both noticed that things are happening in their yard.  

What is going on?  There are pans out there.  Food and water. 

All kinds of creatures are visiting!  Raccoons, opossums, squirrels, groundhogs, and more.  

They are having so many goodies. 

Don’t worry.  There’s plenty more coming. 

Little feet are sneaking some treats. 

Now there are baby foxes. Wow.  

Don’t worry Schmoo, there will always be plenty for you.

You are both your mom and dad’s favorites.   Tell them we love seeing you and all your friends.  🐿️🦊

WINTER AND YOGI

Winter came into rescue w Dickens, Fizziwig, and Mistletoe.  They were the second group of the Christmas rescue. 

I would love for Winter to be adopted w one of her friends.   Jingle and Hunter (fosters together in my home) became best friends and they were adopted together!  There’s nothing better than having a best friend when you make a change to a new place.  

Tinsel/Tulip and Nicholas/Percy were so lucky to be adopted together.   Siblings forever.   

Winter is being fostered w Yogi.  We took Yogi in even though he wasn’t a Pekingese. 

Yogi and Winter play a LOT. 

They roll around and “yell” and roll around some more. 

They adore each other.  

When my Piper and Paddington came into rescue, they were best friends.  It was the only time my husband asked to adopt one of our fosters.  It meant 2 adoptions.  They are best friends/brothers for life. 

I wonder if someone would adopt Winter AND Yogi.  

For now, they are best friends in an incredible foster home near me.  They don’t come much cuter than these two. 🥰

Winter is 1-2 and Yogi is 4-5 so they need a family who can keep up w their energy level.

SNICKERDOODLE AND JELLYBEAN

Snickerdoodle, Jellybean and Holly were visiting w me last week.  They are fostered w Lisa. 

Jelly and Snickers are best friends and we’d love to see them adopted together. (We give a special price when adopting a pair.) 

Snickers tongue hangs out.  She’s missing some teeth so she has trouble w keeping it in.  It’s okay.  It doesn’t cause her any problems. 

Jellybean has a small non visual eye due to an untreated injury.  Is it a problem—not a bit.  She’s so happy. 

Holly looks a lot like Snickers.  

They love to snuggle.  (They cannot be adopted w out a friend.)

WINSTON AND GIZMO—16!

Winston and Gizmo came into rescue in autumn of 2021. Their owner could no longer take care of them and she wanted them to continue the loving life they had always had. 

The boys just turned 16.  They are both so sweet.  Their new mom said that Winston is totally devoted to her. He is still spunky even though his back legs don’t work well. He likes to run even though he’s a bit wobbly.  

Gizmo sleeps a lot. He likes to go to bed the same time every night. He will stare at his mom until she walks him to the bedroom.  Both of the boys take heart and seizure meds but they still have a zest for life.  

They are so loved and they make their mom smile everyday.  Winston and Gizmo are little blessings. 🥰🥰

HERMES—ALMOST A YEAR

Sawyer —now Hermes— was in a shelter on stray hold. He wasn’t doing well w all the noise.  The shelter asked if we would help until he could be released.  This is unusual for us but we decided to say yes. 

No one came for him so we were able to begin his medical care.  He was fostered in Richmond and after  he was adopted, he’s been able to visit his foster parents. Look at him in the middle.  

He’s always happy to go home. He loves his forever mom. 

He looks like he’s ready for a nap.  That sounds like a great idea!  
 

KRINGLE—LOVED BOY

Kringle has been living a happy life in his forever home. He’s in one of his favorite spots. 

He is afraid of men (like many in this group).  His mom’s grandson came over and Kringle didn’t leave the room.  He was still cautious but he stayed.  😁

He also tried to take a selfie.  There was this.

After all that, and some brushing by his mom, he fell asleep.  

What a life he has now. 🥰
 

A PEKE PARTY

Last week, four foster parents came w their dogs from the Christmas rescue.   Holly is one of them. Look how beautiful she is now. 

Jellybean let Winter roll all over her. How’s your view Winter? 

Holly looks so much like Mistletoe and Snickerdoodle. 

Their faces and coloring are so similar.  This is Mistletoe. 

Snickerdoodle is similar but her tongue hangs out some.  Usually not this much. 😉

Jellybean, who has a small eye (due to an injury that wasn’t treated) and Snickerdoodle LOVE to play w each other.   Holly or Eddie (formerly Kris) sometimes join in. 

Winter was w us all outside but she was tired from all the activity. 

Jolly said he wasn’t. 

We headed back inside and they headed to the couch. 

We all had a great day and then my guys were hungry!  

They encouraged me to fix dinner quickly. 

Cinnamon and Mistletoe waited patiently.  Kind of. Cinnamon usually tells me loudly to work faster. 

Afterwards, they went on guard duty.  These guys!  🥰
