PATTY AT HOME

Patty came to rescue in September of 2023.
She came in with ChuChu, Toasty, Leia and Rey.
Patty was Padme and her foster parents decided to adopt her.   She is a great snugger and loves to play with her toys.
She was in a shelter in Maryland, and we were asked to take the 5.
Rey, Leia and Padme were the girls in the group.  They were all so cute.
After their vetting, they were all adopted.  We called the group The Maryland Five.
Patty-- or Patricia is she's being naughty LOL-- has a brother named Bing who is another Albino.
She also has a brother named Toby.  They are a 3 Peke family.
Patty is so content in her home and she loves her family.  Look at that smile!

GRANGER’S DAYS

Granger is getting older and he has heart issues. So naps are part of his daily routine.  Curling up under the Christmas tree was very relaxing. 🎄
Meanwhile, Tuk Tuk and Toasty are busy.  They have a box and you know what happens when a box appears in their house.
Granger found his own box.   Great place for a nap.
Are you contemplating more?
That’s what I thought.  Tearing up another one.
And then he finds a soft bed for another nap.
While he sleeps, some shenanigans were going on. Toasty is asking what that is. A puppy was visiting and Toasty couldn’t figure it out.  It  wasn’t a Peke, that’s for sure.
Maybe it’s better to ignore the puppy and take a nap.
They all agree. A nap is in order. 💤💤

ROCKY ROCKSTAR

Rocky belongs to one of our club friends.  Margie and Rocky live in Florida.  Margie is friends w many of us.
Rocky sent Happy New Year wishes to all of us.
I love his pose here.  He’s very flexible.
He smiles a lot!  He’s so happy.
Are you showing off your toy?   Was it a Christmas present?
He’s ready for a nice winter afternoon nap.  Winter is a good time to slow down especially for us in colder weather. 🥶 Melinda in Australia might not know about cold right now. It’s 72 in Australia!  🌞🌞

LOOKING AHEAD

2026
Penny was in the Bristol 18 rescue in 2010.  She is older now (17) but she’s still looking ahead.
Even when she was younger, she looked toward what was next.
Her sister Tulip is doing the same thing.  What is your dog looking forward to!
Adventures are ahead!!🛣️

HUGO—HONORARY PVPC PEKE

Hugo belongs to my friend.  He just had his 5 year adoptaversary.
He came from an owner who needed help w their dog.
He had his 7th birthday in October.   When he began to live w my friend, he snuggled right in.
His mom previously owned PVPC alumni Gus.  So in honor of Gus, Hugo is an honorary PVPC Peke.  His mom loves that.
He lives in New York w his mom.  He likes long walks and being w his mom. She says he is pure joy. 🥰
Happy Adoptaversary Hugo!  I hope you have a great day!

NEW YEAR’S DAY FUN

Toasty has been having a blast being home for the holidays.
He helped his boy put a desk together.  Tuk Tuk was helping, too.
He came to my house yesterday with his family.  Tuc Tuk came, too.
Football was on, of course.
Cinnamon was scared when they arrived, but she remembered that she knew them.  My granddaughter picked her up, and Cinnamon's eyes got bigger.  She didn't scream, but she stayed.  She settled down and was okay.  Poor Cinnamon.
She joined me by the fireplace and soon, Dickens came over to be next to me.
They all came over.  They are quite a group and they love being together.  What did you do on January 1?   Now we'll begin 2026!  A new year, new dreams-- I hope this is a great year!   I'm ready-- are you?

HAPPY NEW YEAR! 2026

2026!  How is that possible. 2025 flew by. Some of the Christmas pups are on our January calendar page. Look how beautiful they are now. 🥰
We are having dinner w the family.  The pies are ready. Flank steak is on the menu along w the required (for good luck) black eyed peas, curried fruit, and other yummy foods. And pie of course- pecan and lemon meringue.  Are you hungry yet? 😁
As we begin this year, I think of the ones who came to us in 2025. (Actually beginning December 23, 2024.). Dickens loves toys.  He gathers them and there is usually a pile in his bed.
Kringle slept through the night-- no late nights for him.
Dickens said the fireworks shouldn't be allowed because it upset his brother, Piper.
Jolly is just going to hang out on his dad's lap.
Jingle says "Bring on the new year!  Hunter and I are ready."
I wonder if the fireworks upset Bethany.  She's pretty timid.  So many go off on New Year's Eve.
Happy New Year 2026!  I hope this coming
year will be wonderful for all of you.
