Wu was turned into a shelter because his owners had "too many dogs." That was years ago and he's been a happy boy with his mom for awhile now.
He is so loved and cherished-- it's what we want for every one of our foster dogs.
Wu wants to take it easy today-- it sounds like a plan!! Happy Sunday!
Must Love Pekes is a blog for those who love Pekingese -- their looks, their antics, their personalities. It is written by me, Linda, and I have been rescuing Pekingese for over 22 years. Lots of them have come through our home. We have loved them all.

OH STEWART—SUCH LOVE
Stewart is now in an amazing family.
He has claimed his older human brother as his best buddy. He snuggles up every night.
They love each other so much.
The rest adore Stewart— even Happy who is another blind dog they adopted from us.
Stewart is so loving and so wonderful. He deserved this incredible home.

THURSDAY RESCUE
I've been working on trying to get a dog into rescue-- but it's not always close, or easy.
Some are close to me, like Chumley was (who is ours now), but some are in rural areas. Some are near the mountains, not near the coast like I am.
Mattie was a foster girl here, and she was easy to get. But, sometimes, we have to try to find people to transport, or hold over night, or get medical care right away or......
And sometimes, we get them, and sometimes we don't. But, we try. It can mean a lot of paperwork, and helpers and money-- and sometimes, it's frustrating and hopeful and joyful. Rescue is a LOT. A lot of time, resources, people, emotions. Is it worth it?? YES. When we can help a little one, it is always worth it. So, we keep trying. Thank you to all of you who make it possible. I just wanted to give you a big THANK YOU!

GINGER KENT
Princess Kent came into rescue in late 2016.
Her eyes were in bad shape and she was seen by a specialist. One eye was "leaking" and that was repaired and she didn't lose her eye or vision. She had such a nice temperament and we wanted to help her.
She was adopted to a Peke family-- and Louie was so glad to have a friend.
He is such a sweet and loving boy. When his doggy sister died, he was sad and Ginger brought life back to him.
They became such great friends.
Just look at her smile.
Last year at this time, this is what happened at their house-- it's that time of year when it could happen again.
Ginger's mom posted this-- and I loved it.
Louie and Ginger are definitely both loved this much.

ROSIE TOO
Rosie Too has settled into her foster home-- she was in several before she found a place to stay. She had been through a lot before rescue-- and she was used to being abandoned. So, she just didn't know how to belong.
But, Barbara remembered her eyes from the few days she had been with her-- she remembered the trust that Rosie had there. And she wanted to give her another chance. These smiles show she belongs.
She is younger than the rest of the Pekes there and she wants to play.
She is still learning how to be comfortable-- but oh those eyes.
Rosie has a few issues, but she has come a long way from the timid four year old in the shelter.
She is a happy girl now-- she won't have to move again. She has found her forever home.

GRANGER THE HELPER
Granger is such a help. A box arrives and he empties it out right away—and then he climbs in.
A big box arrived. JOY!
To keep him busy while my son in law put a new bed together, they opened it up so Granger could inspect it. He was so willing to do that.
Now he’s holding everything in place for his dad. Pekes are such great helpers!!
