VISITING THE CHRISTMAS PUPS

I visited the Christmas 2024 Rescue dogs yesterday.  I’ve been w them several times.  They all had numbers from the shelter but we also gave them Christmas names.  We do that to every dog who comes to us during December.

We chose:
Tinsel, Jolly, Jack, Jingle, Nicholas, Kringle, Gabriel, Noelle, Kris, Bethany, and Holly.   There was a big range in weight/ from 7.2 pounds to 13.5 pounds.   All are underweight. But they love to eat and we have them all on Hills ID food.  I use it for every foster.  They like the taste and it’s a good choice for avoiding stomach issues. It’s gentle and easy on their systems.

They’ve had their labs done.  They were all anemic from the fleas.   Their skin was a mess.  But they are healing.
Some are bossy. Some have no need to be the boss. They love attention.  Some just want to snuggle.
At least 3 will see the ophthalmologist.  One needs an eye removed.  Some need nasal fold surgery and  dentals. All  spay/neuter and the ones who have hernias will have those repaired.  Coming into rescue on the holidays makes everything a little slower.  Two left the vet today for foster homes.  More will go to their foster homes soon.  It’s a lot to take in at once.
Kringle met my crew and was not phased a bit. Everyone sniffed and then decided he was okay.
Today is the last day of 2024.  All of these pups are beginning a new life.  We think it will be wonderful.  #Chistmas2024
