Who are your Peke kids?
Mother’s Day is tomorrow. I was thinking “which pekes have I been foster mom to?” Everyone knew Starlight. She would NOT let anyone adopt her. We finally figured that out. She had chosen us as her family.
Chumley-one of our grandkids met him and cried “I’ll never see him again once he’s adopted!” We had to keep him.
Cranberry- I had her before rescue. I’ve had Pekes since I was 15. She loved to r snow!
Max. We called him Mr. Grumpy. He grumbled. Never bit or did anything bad. He just grumbled. He stayed too when no one adopted him.
Remember Clara? Tiniest foster I’ve had. All 8 pounds of you. She had something off. It was a brain tumor. She lived the rest of her short life w us.
My beautiful Kai Kai. He was a beautiful red Peke-Cavalier. No one applied for him. I never figured out why. (He had both eyes when I got him. When he was older, he had four eye surgeries but we couldn’t save his eyes. I kept him near me since I was his seeing eye person.
Floyd. Sweet Floyd. He didn’t hear or see well. Again, no one adopted him. So he stayed. Starlight was his friend.
Kenobi was w me a very short time. Oh was he sweet. We had a happy “rest of your life.”
My Zoey. My heart girl. No lower jaw, but it didn’t get in her way. I’ve had so many pas through (or stay) in the 23 years I’ve fostered. I don’t remember them w sadness. I remember them w joy because I got to be their mom.
And now I’m Peke mom to more. Like Dickens who no one wanted because of his medical. He now sleeps on the end of the bed w the rest. (I’m short so I don’t need the bottom of the bed 😂.)
Some of you have met Cinnamon. She’s afraid of so much, but she’s not afraid of me. She’s my little sweetheart.
Gwennie and Dickens are part of the Camp Runamuck gang. She looks so much like Starlight. 🌸
And the Runamuck gang leaders, Piper and Paddington. Bad Pad has mellowed. He and Piper are busy keeping things running smoothly.
