PIPER AND THE SUPER BOWL WIN

 Piper was so excited that the Baltimore Ravens won the Super Bowl that he jumped up into Beach Bit's high chair to read the paper. I do mean that he jumped-- in one leap, he was in the seat!

 He read the headlines, "Electrifying!" Wow, was he excited.

 Can you push the chair in a little more so I can read the article?

It's just Starlight-- it's another hidey-hole for her. Or maybe she wants to hear about the Raven's win while you read it. Just read out loud! Congratulations Ravens! (I know Monica will like this blog!)

PADDINGTON

 Paddington came into our rescue-- we were told he was a Peke and I received a picture.  The picture was so bad and at an angle, so I thought, "okay, he's a Peke."    He wasn't.    It's okay, we took care of him.  

 He went to his new home last week.   They wanted to adopt a Shih Tzu and they did.  That's what Paddington is!

 He has a new brother, Nicky.    "Is that MY new brother?"  

 It sure is!

Paddington has a wonderful new home now.   He mom calls him  Paddy, Paddy Wagon, and  Paddy Cake. And he loves it because he has a new forever home!    

STARLIGHT IN THE WAGON

Starlight is always getting into things-- like laundry baskets.   Now she has discovered Beach Bit's wagon.   It's a tiny one for toys, but she manages to get into it.

She climbed into an open crate with Hollyberry.    Are you sure you want to be there?   (Hollyberry has been adopted.)

 She loves to get on the shelf of the coffee table.  If things are there, she just pushes them out of the way.    If I can't find her, this is where she has probably hidden.   

 She found a little box and climbed into that.   Really, Starlight, you're too big for that!

 She found another table with a shelf (a Christmas present to my daughter) and climbed into that one.

I guess she'll continue looking for little places, boxes, and hidey holes to make her own.   It's such a cute part of her personality.    Love you, Starlight!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOGART!

 Valerie is one of our foster moms for special dogs, ones that just need a place to live out their lives.   She owns Bogart, above, who turned 17 today!!  WOW!   She said he is her smart, loving, grumpy boy that they love so much!

Popsickle lives with Bogart-- he is the foster dog there and is very sweet.   He came into rescue in rough shape and just needed a place to live his life-- Valerie welcomed him into her home.    I know Popsickle and all of us wish Bogart a very Happy Birthday!

CHAMPAGNE BUBBLES

 Champagne Bubbles was a stray at a local shelter.   She arrived the January 9, but no one came to claim her.    She had kennel cough so was in isolation.

 Her eyes were inflamed, and her eye/nasal folds were right on her eye balls.    Makes my eyes hurt!

 She is about 8 years old, under 14 pounds, and very sweet.    She saw the opthalmologist yesterday and has some drops.   She will have the eye/nasal fold surgery next week and we hope she will regain some sight in one of her eyes.    She is super sweet and gets along with dogs and cats.    She is also housetrained! (always a plus)

MACAROON AND FRIENDS

Macaroon came into rescue in December and stayed with our Roanoke vet for awhile until he got healthy.

Then, he came to Virginia Beach and is staying with some new doggy friends.   The's Daisy in front and Marco Polo in the back.  

Looks like Macaroon got the bed!     Chester and his ears are in front.    Chester is a blind dog and has no problem playing and getting around.    (We just got a sweet blind Peke into rescue-- Champagne Bubbles-- look for her blog.)

Macaroon is playful and gets along great with the other dogs.    He also does well with Toni's grandkids.

Is my home out there?  I'm looking for it.

Chester loves him, but knows he'll have to have his own home.

Daisy says, "I'll miss Macaroon-- just wait until that perfect family gets him!!"

We hope it's soon-- he deserves it.
