TEDDY BEAR--DOING BETTER

Teddy Bear came into rescue in February.  His owner had died and none of the family was able to take him, so they took him to a shelter.    They just didn't know how to help him.  (Everyone isn't as knowledgeable or able to help when a pet's owner dies.  It's SO important to have a plan for your pets.)
When he came to us, he was terrified.   Who were these people?   Could he trust them?
Teddy Bear is so cute and is 11 years old, but he has had adjustment issues.   When his foster mom tried to touch him, he was reactive.   He had obviously not been around other dogs either, and didn't know how to behave with them.
With Lisa's help (his foster mom), Teddy Bear has calmed down and trusts her now.   He will need a special owner, who wants an only dog.  He needs to be in a calm, laid back place.  We would not place him with children.
Teddy has come a long way.   When he is adopted, he will need time to adjust again, so patience will be needed.  But, it will be worth it.  He is so precious.
